Siege Weapon Damage Scaling with Unit Stats?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to min-max my siege setup, and I'm curious about something specific regarding siege weapon damage. Does the damage output of siege weapons (like trebuchets or ballistae) scale with the stats of the units crewing them?

For example:

*   Does a higher Strength stat on the crew increase the damage dealt by the siege weapon?
*   Does the Engineering skill of the crew affect reload speed or accuracy in any way?
*   Are there any specific unit skills that directly boost siege weapon performance?

I've been testing a few things, but it's hard to get consistent results in a live environment. Any insights or data-driven observations would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Great question. Siege mechanics can be tricky to pin down! From what I’ve seen (and tested), most siege weapon damage is fixed and doesn’t scale with crew Strength. However, Engineering skill (usually the commander's) can impact build speed and maybe slight accuracy or reload tweaks, depending on the game/mod. Individual unit stats rarely make a big difference unless the game specifically calls it out.

Do crew stats affect siege weapon damage? In most implementations (including Bannerlord), the damage output of a siege weapon is based on the weapon’s own stats, not the individual stats of the soldiers operating it. That is:– Strength, Athletics, or individual melee/ranged stats of the crew do not directly increase siege weapon damage.– The base projectile damage, area effect, and structural damage are determined by the siege weapon type (e.g., trebuchet vs. catapult) and upgrades/modifiers you’ve researched or unlocked.https://driftbossgame.io
