After a solid stretch in the new California Resistance update, I can say it changes Battlefield 6 in ways you notice straight away. The stand-out is easily the global spread buff. The 8v8 Sabotage mode plays beautifully here: one team protecting cargo, the other trying to blow it up. Because of the varied space — open yards, tight hallways — every fight flips from long to close-range in seconds. Finding battle pickups like the Rorsch Mk-2 railgun or MP-RMG minigun mid-match can totally swing the momentum too.
They’ve also tweaked things that make day-to-day play smoother. Console players will clock the controller changes instantly — aim feels less jerky, movement flows better. Plus they’ve set aim assist back to its beta build, which means targeting feels familiar again if you’ve been around since the early days. That’s huge for building proper muscle memory. All in all, it’s a smart mix of big-ticket content and subtle fixes.
